Twins!

Several months ago I did some photos with a really sweet family with twin babies. Well they aren't babies anymore; in fact, they just turned one! I was so glad they got in touch with me again to do their birthday portraits. They are such sweet kids - and a pleasure to work with.

Serendipity.

I did an engagement session yesterday for a bride and groom who hired me to do their March 2013 wedding. When I met with them to sign their contract, we talked for the better part of two hours about how they met, and ended up starting a long-distance relationship, and how it all just fell into place for them. I could just hear, in every word they spoke, how much they loved each other, and the more I learned about their story, I could just see how God moved in their lives to bring them to where they are now, and where they are now is a GREAT place.

I am so excited to be a part of their big day, and to see more of them as their family grows.

Finally.

My daughter was a surprise. There was no doubt that we wanted her, we just weren't trying for her when she came into our lives. Some friends of ours, on the other hand, had been trying for years to have a little one of their own and it just wasn't happening. I knew that in the good Lord's timing, it would, and sure enough, it did, and this month they will finally welcome their son into their home. I can't wait to meet him, even if it does mean a 3 hour drive. It's worth every second.

I made the drive one day to do her maternity photos. I love working with pregnant women who appreciate their beauty. At no other time in life is a woman so radiant than when she's pregnant, and after all they went through to get here, her happiness shows in every image.
