I got the call that a Mommy I'd done maternity photos for had given birth. The little one was brought safely into this world four weeks early and was home and healthy. I was so excited to meet her. Mom was very excited to dress the little princess up in frilly tutus and headbands, and I was excited to get my hands on a baby so small - just under five pounds! To put it into perspective, the baseball she's pictured with below is regulation size and the hat is a child sized hat on loan from big brother, age 2.

I really need to stay away from the water. I am doing two or three maternity sessions every week and I'm really beginning to think it's contagious. In all seriousness, I love maternity sessions. Pregnant women are so pretty and being pregnant sets this time of their life apart from any other. Even if they are mommies of multiple children, every pregnancy is different and special.

This sweet family met with me just about a week before their little guy was due to arrive, and mom, dad, and big sister were just bursting with excitement! I can't wait to meet the sweet prince for his newborn session.

Anxious

I exchanged emails with a mommy-to-be-again for a few weeks regarding her maternity session. Over the course of those few weeks, pregnancy reared it's (sometimes) ugly head and we had to reschedule a couple times. I was so thrilled to finally get to meet this beautiful family. They were scheduled to have their baby girl one week from the day we did this session - Mom, Dad and Big Brother were all very anxious and excited!
